from a tender unit into a drilling unit. I took part in the installation and testing of
all drilling equipment including top drive systems, mud treatment systems, and
pipe handling systems. I was also involved in the upgrading of the rig electrical
power generation system to handle the additional demands of the drilling systems.
I was an active member on a new construction team that installed and tested a
drilling package on a “new build” drill ship. I assisted in the build up of the
drilling modules in the shipyard and the installation of the modules on the ship. I
was offered an overseas position that paid substantially more money.
