Cost Saving Areas: Cost per Component reduced from Rs. 1.54 to Rs. 0.77 by introducing helical reamer instead of straight flute reamer.

Productivity Improvements: Output increased from 570 no’s to 624 no’s / day by introducing PCD Rough drill instead of Carbide drill in the Bore Finishing Operation.

Quality Improvements: Macro Program introduced to avoid thread missing in VMC and Conical hit mark rejection reduced from 0.2% to 0% by modifying poking bush angle from 120 Deg to 140 Deg.

Manpower Saving: (i) Cast collar burr Deburring operation eliminated by form tool.

(ii)Part number Identification mark Operation separate machine and manpower using id mark operation combined through locator design modified by VMC machine.
