Owner/Operations of delivery service for appliances, furniture and mattresses. Operate a 5,000 square foot warehouse for these products. Run inbound, outbound and dispatching of delivery trucks to customers homes in CT, MASS, NY and RI. Use routing system for deliveries as well as inventory of warehouse items in storage. Extensive customer service performed from scheduling, routing, dispatching and billing of weekly invoices.

2009-2018 NEW ENGLAND HOME DELIVERY SERVICES- Bethel, Connecticut

Regional Manager-Managing multiple locations for a home delivery service, including Pilgrim Furniture, Puritan Furniture, Bobs Furniture and Ashley

Furniture. Recruit, hire, train all new employees, both for office and drive teams. Operate with Profit & Loss statements in mind while cutting costs when possible. Manage daily operations for all accounts which include a 7 day per week operation.

2005-2009 SYGMA NETWORK – Milford, Connecticut

Transportation Manager – Recruited to provide focus and leadership to this transportation company which is the exclusive supplier to Sysco’s nationwide chain restaurant business. Restaurants include Taco Bell, Bess Eaton/Tim Horton’s, Subway, Panera, Texas Roadhouse and Kentucky Fried Chicken.

Played a key role in the opening of a new distribution center. Recruited, trained drivers and staff. Within six months, branch was achieving significant volume and profitability objectives.

2002-2005 DUNBAR ARMORED – New London, Connecticut

Branch Manager – Managed assigned operations of this internationally respected armored vehicle service. Managed daily personnel, night vault crew and Federal Reserve shuttles. Recruited, selected, trained, managed, motivated and evaluated staff. Generated payroll. Held safety meetings. Conducted open house recruitment.

Personally recruited by the company founder. Flew to corporate headquarters for final interview.

Selected by the company to personally deliver products to home of Jack Welch, Chairman/CEO.

Terminal Manager (Merchants Home Delivery/General Transportation) – Newington, CT (1999-2001) Performed function as described above for a terminal of up to fifteen trucks. Generated daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly profit and labor income reports for corporate home office.

Retained position when General Electric shifted between contractors, and then took function in-house.

Operations Manager (Hartford Despatch/Allied Van Lines) - East Hartford, CT (1996-1998) Managed linehaul operations for drivers who drove for Allied Van Lines. Recruited by company founder.

Oversaw 25 local crews, four dock personnel, one mechanic and support staff.

Built strong relationships with drivers, many of whom continued to work under me throughout my career.

1995 CAROLINA FREIGHT CARRIERS – Enfield, Connecticut

Linehaul Coordinator - Oversaw linehaul operations for central and northeastern United States, involving hundreds of drivers. Managed six dockworkers and office personnel. Handled $10,000 in petty cash daily.
