Resume:

Carolle Martindale

*****************@*****.***● 775-***-****● 1674 N. Virginia St. #13124 ● Reno, Nevada, 89507 Current Objectives and Future Goals

In January 2020 I began the Generalist Advanced Practioneer Master Social Work Program With the University of Nevada, Reno. I graduated in August of 2022 with an MSW. Learning the core values and principles of social work; Administrative work; Organizational work; Community and Family service work; Advocating on political, individual, and community levels; Creating and conducting entire psycho-education programs; and Grant writing. Also learning theories and practices for all forms of behavioral, cognitive and psychoeducation therapies with families, couples, children, individuals, minorities and groups, keeping in mind all cultural sensitivities, oppressions and diversities. I invested a great deal of time into the research of emotional and academic support systems for students, long term mentoring and youth initiative mentoring YIM programs. My social Work experience comes from 900 hours of MSW internship described below. I am actively pursuing my Master Social Worker’s Nevada State Licensure. I am very interested in working in Nevada public school systems as I am a firm believer that with the right Prevention/Intervention programs for academic and emotional support systems that we can significantly increase the retention rates of our most vulnerable students and reduce unwanted juvenile delinquent behaviors. I am dedicated to researching emotional, academic support systems for students at-risk for emotional, physical and psychological abuse/neglect who are at high risk of dropping out of school. Without these added academic, community and emotional support systems, children suffering through childhood abuse\ neglect oftentimes end up developing severe emotional brain impairments that disabled them for life. Children who do not develop emotionally, develop poor impulse control, poor behavioral and social skills and deal with a great amount of emotional instability. These high risk factors will cause children to drop out of school or be expelled, become part of foster care systems and juvenile delinquent systems. As adults, they will suffer with great financial hardships, inabilities to hold down jobs, difficulty remaining independent or keeping stable relationships. They will develop learning and social disorders, anxiety disorders, depression, and addictions. They will develop Unhealthy relationship attachment styles which lead to domestic abuse and poverty, which can lead to homelessness, incarceration, and early deaths. Academic impairments, borderline personality disorders, high suicide rates and many more problems leading to domestic abuse, addictions and homelessness are caused from childhood abuse/neglect. My mission in life is to advocate and help children suffering the consequences of childhood abuse and neglect, by building up their resiliency, self-confidence, self-efficacy, independence, pride, self-esteem and support systems these children and their families will need to succeed in life to avoid or reduce the negative impacts that childhood abuse / neglect will almost certainly have on these children and our communities. We can do so much better and it is my goal to get as many Intervention/Prevention programs in our Nevada schools as our Nevada children and their families need while continuing my doctorate of social Work. Highlights

• Extremely dedicated to the research and development of intervention/prevention programs that reduce childhood abuse/neglect mental impairments.

• Extremely loyal to the cause of helping all children graduate, giving children support they need and deserve, in safe productive environments.

• Extremely academically inclined and studious

• Experienced in many realms of life, including poverty, child abuse, homelessness, illegal immigration, learning disabilities, bullying, keeping professional boundaries and knowing where my strengths and competency’s lay, and knowing when to hand over problems to experts in fields outside of my realm.

• Extremely motivated, undeterred by obstacles, creative in problem solving, ambitious and willing to work hard and help the community.

• An advocate and champion of all human rights, religions, races, ethnicities, and social economic status

• A firm believer that everyone should be allowed to keep their autonomy and independence, regardless of economic status, disabilities, immigrant status or criminal convictions, if they show a willingness and determination to learn and achieve new status, behaviors, and civic responsibilities.

• Living homeless at times, listening to individual stories, composing literature and books, and reporting accurately without bias all stories by representing the poorest of the poor in our society. Work and Volunteer Experience
