2010 to 2022 • Pattern Energy Group LP Houston, TX
Pattern Energy Group LP develops, owns and operates utility scale wind and solar power facilities in the United States, Canada, and Japan.
A demonstrated record of success and achievement, marked by a series of promotions to positions of increased influence, authority, and accountability.
2016 to 2022: Procurement Manager
Leads vision, strategy, and execution for all facets of procurement, negotiating agreements with vendors for goods and services necessary to sustain operations, engineering, development, environmental and construction initiatives throughout the United States, Canada, and Chile. Maintained accountability for $30MM in annual spend.
Recruited as the first Procurement Manager in Houston, subsequently assuming an expanded scope of responsibilities for procurement for the entire company
Pioneered the launch of a formal Procurement department from the ground up, defining formal guidelines for purchasing and providing guidance on RFP administration, vendor evaluations, and contract negotiations. Achieved average savings of 10% to 12%, surpassing goal.
Partnered with the Legal department to develop and publish terms and conditions on the company’s website for the United States and Canada.
Led a migration from Microsoft AX to Microsoft Dynamics 365 and led employee training on the use of the platform.
2013 to 2016: Manager, Administration
Established and mentored a team of 14 direct report support staff around the US and Canada to serve as business support resources covering wind farm LLCs and for the executive team in Houston. Recruited, hired, mentored, and managed three executive assistants across multiple departments.
Project Manager for the move of the Houston office, including the selection of a realtor, architect, construction firm, and moving company. Together with Senior Counsel negotiated the terms of a 12-year lease and oversaw the $4MM buildout. Executed an Open House that attracted over 200 attendees.
Secured LEED Certification for the 31st and 32nd floors of the newly designed Houston office.
Established the first New Hire Orientation, encompassing four days of training and presentations in the Houston office for up to 40 employees, held on a quarterly basis.
2010 to 2013: Executive Assistant to Director of Operations
Supported the newly-created Operations department, with the authority to define policies, procedures, and best practices while leading Human Resources responsibilities to staff the company’s wind farms. Supervised three direct reports.
On a monthly basis, developing meeting packages for the executives providing insight into new wind farms.
Administered the company’s online LMS as well as Microsoft SharePoint.
Negotiated contracts for imports and exports. Contracted with vendors to procure office supplies and furnishings for new wind farm facilities.
