Work Experience
Psychiatric Technician Aegis Treatment Center – Maxim Health Care
Atascadero, CA - January 2022-December 2022
I would provide patient care ADLs, documentation of all observations of vital signs I took, adverse reactions to medication, behaviors, unit safety of patients and staff. Transfer patients to other units, respond to red lights, sit on 1:1s, assist in take downs, full beds, and emergency medically necessary situations. Daily weights on assigned patients. Everything is always documented in patients charts, daily nursing charts and in shift change notification for oncoming staff. Psychiatric Technician Creston Village Pegasus Senior Living – Maxim Health Care Paso Robles, CA – October 2021-December 2021
Float to other units, lead patients to PDR, courtyard, and gym. Count time which requires patients in room, breathing and any changes. Unit safety was my number one responsibility, I mentored students and any staff I could.
Psychiatric Technician Atascadero State Hospital
Atascadero, CA- June 2013 to July 2017
Duties include acting shift lead 2-3 days a week vacation and holidays! Med room 4-5 days a week. Transcribed doctors’ orders, monitored 30 patients administering all psych, controlled, scheduled, IM, Sub- Q, and insulin by applying all the proper policies and protocols deemed necessary while always applying the 6 rights to every patient! Used all the appropriate Protocols and documentations daily regarding all activity on unit including medications, incident reports, monitoring patients ADLs as to any adverse effects from new medications or the titration up or down to all meds daily! I have practice and am comfortable giving IMs, sub-q or insulin injections! Staff less comfortable would get practice on my watch until they became comfortable and safe. I took pride in following policy and procedures to ensure the safety of my staff and unit! I practiced safety first and gave respect to patients always maintaining good boundaries! I took pride in being respectful and professional with not only seasoned staff but students as well! In Red Lights our response team on my unit was noticed by management and I was promoted twice from Nocs to PMs and then From PMs to AMs. That’s huge in there, I’ve never been written up or demoted. I am licensed to do these things. I maintain a current license active #37101. Education
