I have Managed a Local Gas Station in Downey Idaho for the last 4 years. I was in charge of : scheduling, ordering, inventory, vendors relations, Customer Service, the Profit Loss Margins, Cost Control, Quality control,Office work budget projections, fuel operations, Technical repair to pumps any an all up keep, and daily operations. We also had a Delli serving Breakfast, Lunch, Supper, and snacks as ordered. I have this ability to put a team together that functions as a whole. I have this ability to feel the possibility in my employees and to help them discover and grow in the talents they had not realized they had. Running any bussiness takes a team with a leader that allows her team to shine with their given talents. Any sucess is a well organized an strategiclly put together team like a well oiled machine. There is always a great team behind any sucees story and behind that team is someone who works harder, cares too much, and stays

longer one who refuses to give up or fail. That would be me!. No man is an island unto himself. I am State Certified in Food Management. I have done Generals at ISU as well as obtained a CNA degree & a Nursing Certification in the past. Nursing was not for me. I am intelligent and have worked in many different situations.

I am Most Proud of my Managment skills durring Covid. My Store was one of the few businesses that did not have to cut store hours of operation nor did I have to let any of my employees go nor did anyone of them loose hours. As a matter of a fact the Store still managed to turn a profit durring Covid. This time tested my skills as never before and I am Proud to say I met the challenge with sucess. It was diligence attention to the numbers and ever changing cost of accusation supply and demand. The cost of products fluctuated more than ever before. 60 percent of small bussiness failed durring Covid. I was determined we would not be one of them. Failure is not an option. it is usually someone not keeping there head in the game. My success comes down to: hard work, faith in myself, strong moral and ethical values, fierce loyalty to the Owners of the bussiness, and a commitment to my employees, and Customers. To the team I was able to put together. I made sure that the numbers were where they needed to be to succeed. The Owner of The Mart was not some Corporation but a regular hard working couple Janet and Lyle Barnes who also had a Tree Farm and a Ranch that they worked daily just honest hard working people. When the world changed to the New Verifone System we did not have the extra $12,000 for the required new system let alone money to train employees on it. The New System cane with set up and 1 hour of training. Any additional training was over $75 an hour plus the fee for them coming from Idaho Falls. Money being tight the acting Manager at that time received the only training on the new system. We had no price book no POS sat up nothing. It would be thousands more to have someone come in and do the Price Book. The Manager was in return supposed to set up the system and teach the rest of us. We continued to use the old Cash Register. The Manager had difficulties getting anything to work on Verifone and she ended up quitting. When she left she deleted the All the Verifone programs including the Back Office Program on the Office Computer. Our Computer Specialist and our Acountant could not recover these programs. We continued using the old manual Cash Register and way of doing things. We had another Manager who did not even try to learn or do anything with the new set up. I was asked to be the manager and at first turned it down flat because I wasn't sure I could be successful for them. With much encouraging and assurance that Janet believed in me. Long Story short I not only managed the store but after work and on my days off I downloaded manuals taught myself the system and was able to set the whole thing back up. I again after work and my days off created the whole POS and price book by myself. Many times I was told this was an i.possible task & to go home that I spent too much time at the Store. I was able to get rid of the Old Register and turn everything completely over to the POS system I created. I am Proud of what I accomplished. I am nothing special but I am good with numbers and I was dedicated to the Commitment to see the business suceed! I made a commitment when I accepted the job as Manager. Failure is not an option it is a chance to get back up dust off an opportunity another chance to learn and succeed. The Verifone System did not come with any way to track the inventory and the only system in place was in the Owners head. I then set my sights on creating an Inventory Program. Long Story short the Accountant and our Computer Specialist did not think that they could teach me all the required to accomplish such a task on my own and could or would not help me. I am always underestimated and that is where I shine. I taught myself Coding and Excell. The program I was able to build impressed and shocked the Acountant an the Computer Specialist! w I had taught myself Excell and coding and built my own program that did not cost $ each month to use! My program is still being used today. I also created an Excell inventory tracking program for the New Owners of the local Meat Shop here in town complete with scanners programmed by me. They can now track product from the the first contact till out the door. They can at anytime see the profit N loss margin, operating cost, even the exact $ amount in the freezers. I am nothing special nor do I possess an above average intelligence that is often missed when one judges me off outward appearence or just meeting me one time. I struggle to verbally articulate what is in my brain. When given the oppurtunity or trust to do the things I struggle to articulate verbally one understands and can see my abilities. I often times get frustrated with the verbal explanations to what I see or feel can be done it I a waste of time. Others brains just don't work the same way mine does and tjey say it can't be completed. I don't want to hear the word can't this is often a persons inability or unwillingness to try harser or to push the em envelope or to think outside the box. I can be stubborn to a fault. When I am nervous or uncomfortable I talk too much or not at all. When I believe in somethings or someone, or have been given a task to do it will be a prioity till Sucess. I am relentless till success is achieved. I am a self starter and enjoy the autonomy of working alone but can also be a team player., although I prefer to be the one strategically putting the team together, working for the sucess. I have been a State Certified CPR Instructor & have taught classes with attendance of 75+. I can be the front person I just prefer to be the one working behind making it possible for others to shine. I have ran with 2 diffrent county ambulances Elko Nevada 1993-1996. & Caribou County EMS for 5 years. I am cool in alarming situations and can think fast on ny feet.

I have grit, loyalty, determination, and a work ethic like no other. I CAN BE A PERFECTIONIST. When given something no one else has been able to acomplosh I drive people crazy, but I will acomplish whatever it is. I am relen tless to the point that it seems to annoy the nay sayers until I have completed what they said Could not be done. I am not the first choice but when given a chance I am always one of the best choices. I am not a first choice picked usually the only option left before given the chance, the underestimation works in my favor. I am awkward in social situations. My brain sees in pictures an remembers exact pictures. When learning I often do not know the correct name of items this seems useless information clutters up the space in my brain. I will however know exactly how it works and what it doesn and why it works and what I can do with it and be able to do what others can not. My brain recalls the information like a snap shot a picture memory of whatever I wanted to learn Sorry this is so long. If you have read till now I appreciate your time. Thanks
