Provided administrative support to the Department of Energy security clearance process on an 8a Support Service contract via multiple contractors (see below). Duties included the functions of initiating background investigations; performing necessary pre-employment queries; requesting and reviewing security documents; scanning documents into government database; reviewing credit reports; verifying selective service requirements; reviewing files for derogatory information; ensuring e-QIP documents are completed properly with no gaps in employment, etc. prior to submission to OPM; processing PIV requests for the HSPD-12 system; reviewing all cases for final pre-employment processing; requesting and reviewing Fair Credit Report and fingerprint results. Support also included mail processing and tracking; processing requests to extend or transfer clearances; processing terminations, etc. Demonstrated experience with SAS.
