Personal Description & Summary

I have thirty-six years of experience working with various skilled tradesmen. I am a dedicated and committed employee with the ability to lead and/or supervise diverse groups of people ensuring the accomplishment of routine and unexpected tasks according to union contract employees: International Union of Operating Engineers and North America Building Trades Union. I am organized, can work independently, and can prioritize my assignments.

I am very comfortable working with staff at all levels involving team-building issues as well as everyday work situations. I was elected, from 1992 through 2007, as Safety Chairperson and Safety Coordinator member of various units, to reinforce existing safety rules, identify problems, and resolve practices needing improvement. I maintained bi-weekly and monthly records.

I have extensive experience with all maintenance equipment tools and thorough knowledge of work methods and terminology. I am proficient with MS Office programs, such as Power Point, Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Word. I have hands-on experience with the MMIS key access control system, SAP procurement procedures. I also have vast experience interpreting service contracts.

I am competency-qualified on the Junior Operations/Maintenance Supervisor Roster since 2011. Finally, I am ambitious, a quick study, and enthusiastic about learning and going above, and beyond the call of duty.

SEMAC FM-3 Supervisor 02/13-09/19

Supervised 12 employees in various projects involving maintenance service, construction, repairs, paving, painting, sprinkler system, and snow removal. In charge of inventory control and replenishment of tools, fleet, etc., using Gigatrak. Negotiated and budgeted monthly payments of contracts pertaining to overseen facilities. Performed various miscellaneous tasks, and administrative work as needed.

Port Authority Bus Terminal

Structural Mechanic 1991 – 2007

Handled structural repairs involving welding and burning, roofing, cutting and threading pipes, installing new steal doors and locks, as well as performing electrical work. Performed structural integrity inspections of building expansion joints, installing ceiling, and sidewalks. Also did cement work on sidewalks and roadways and set up jobs and get material. I am experienced with interior/exterior painting as well as the cleaning of all valuable art jobs. I am confident with blueprint reading and interpreting drawings and diagrams of existing office space and new construction. I handled schedules, work orders, and printed reports using the Maintenance Management Information System. I responded to emergency incidents and assessed structural integrity ensuring safety guidelines. I also responded to the blackout in 2003 and the bus accident that damaged Port Authority property.
