My job duties consisted in the installation and integration of Cisco 15454 systems for SONET topologies. As well as upgrades, changes and cut-ins, channel balancing. Familiar with all software requirements, software loads, TCPIP settings to complete the installation test and turn up process of MAN equipment. DWDM, Transport has always been my primary responsibility at the Kansas City switch site. Worked closely with other states for all channel additions and testing.

All installations required testing of T1, DS3, OC3, OC12, OC48 and OC192 curcuits using one of the following pieces of test equipment, T-Bird 8000, Agilent I310 and OSA’s. Being a terminal site at KC I was responsible for opening bridges and assisting other Techs along the circuit path with the testing while running the test set form KC, most of this was done on the OC48 and OC192 level for DWDM a Sonet.
