The meeting was opened with a word of prayer by Mr. Gilbert. Chairman welcomed members to the meeting and thanked them for attendance. He highlighted the main agenda of the meeting is the way forward. MIN 01/11/2022 WAY FORWARD FOR OUR SACCO

It was noted that our Sacco has deteriorated and therefore it is the right time to focus on the way forward. Chairman reiterated that the time is now for members to get back to the drawing board.

He further directed the credit committee to issue letters to the members with loans to embark on loan repayment. Treasurer was also directed to ensure that loans were being repaid.

He further suggested a daily savings of at least ksh.200 per day per member. Alexander Kimani supported the idea of issuing demand letters to loan defaulters as the starting point toward the right direction.

Thomas Kimani was of the idea that contribution towards the Sacco should not be voluntary as earlier opined by the chairman. George suggested that members should outline the things that have been dragging us behind. The issues were identified as follows.

1. Politics-unhealthy politics.

2. Issuance of loans –security

3. Non-commitment by those responsible.

4. Poor policies in loan issuance.

Chairman reported on the issue of route extension plans which need change of motor vehicles or improving on these we already have. He also advised members to focus on embracing new routes.

John Kuria was of the view that we should clean our house; put it in order an move on. Gilbert was of the opinion that members should refrain from supporting those who have already messed the Sacco.

Alexander kimani opined that rules should be strictly followed in regard to money collection. Mr. Bernard suggested that we should limit our loan issuance and also put emphasis on guarantorship.Joyce opined that members should follow the set rules and regulations.

RECOMMENDATION/RESOLUTIONS.

1. Members should contribute ksh.200 for savings

2. Members with loans to repay their loans as expected. 3. Those responsible to play their loans as expected. They should get serious with their work.

4. Non-members to contribute as required.

Bottom line: let’s own the Sacco.

There being no any other business, the meeting was closed with a word of prayer by Bernard Kariuki.
