Duties and Responsibilities
General ward administration.
Performing health surveillances to Mine employees e.g., drug test, eye test, HIV testing and vitals
Rolling out Covid 19 Vaccination program
Ward management, supervision of subordinate and educating.
Doctor’s rounds and carrying out doctor’s orders
Dispensing, ordering and administration of medication.
Drawing bloods and putting up intravenous lines and drips
Patient care and assisting with activities of daily living
Wound dressing and wound care
Health education and patient advocacy
Community outreach HIV, TB, STI, MMC, ART and PMTCT education and mobilization
Ordering and stock control of testing equipment,
In-service training to project staff
Monitoring and Evaluation of implemented projects and designing M&E tools
Project marketing, networking with other stakeholders and maintaining partnerships
Peer education and counseling on peer pressure, drug abuse and unwanted pregnancies
Performing in house diagnostic tests including PIMA machine for in house CD4 check.
Distribution of HIV, TB, STI, PMTCT and MMC literature material to the community
Report writing on the progress of the project cycle.
Data capturing and compiling, weekly, monthly and quarterly statistics for monitoring and evaluation
Ensuring safe data storage of all clients seen and maintain confidentiality
Maintenance of proper disposal of medical waste
Implementing Infection control strategies including triaging clients in waiting rooms
Patient education on HIV disease process and ART treatment
Ensuring that all clients get their ART medications monthly.
Daily health education facilitation in PHC centers as per project plan.
HIV counseling and testing and treatment adherence monitoring and proper referral for further management if need be.
Including any other duties as the Project coordinator / Manager of the institution may advise.
