Day six coffee co. - Houston, TX

June 2022 to Present

My position of Day six coffee co. Is to create and stock the store’s inventory making sure we always had everything in stock. I make everything from cookies to quiches for the store on a daily basis. Although my position is day six is to bake I’m trained to handle every station. When my team needs me I’m ready to help wherever I’m needed. What is that being on the espresso machine, register, or in the kitchen. My days at day six would typically consist of me completing my tasks in the bakery, then assisting my comrades through out the day. My achievements in the kitchen include creating I work flow plane that maximizes time efficiency, creating an inventory chart, improving the quality and appearance of our products. And I’m currently working to build a payed time off system for our workers at day six. MOD Squad Member

February 2020 to Present

I worked on everything from pressing out Dough to making them on the line. To cooking then In the oven. And slicing and plating. For the majority of my time there I was on the closing team. My tasks included taking apart and cleaning the line. And putting it back together. Sweeping behind the dough press and cleaning the entire kitchen. Checking dates on items, for optimum freshness. And making sure the line is beautiful for the opening team coming the next morning. That said for the past few months I have been on the opening team. My task were calculating our total on hand product. To make sure we prepare the necessary amount of food. From there I roasted, sliced, and diced, vegetables. And paned labeled and dated all meats and veggies. And moved them to their proper storage area in the walk in cooler. When I’m done I clean up my prep area, wash my sink and dishes, make sure the back of house is as clean as possible. Then I help my comrades on the line with costumes or on the over. Or wherever I’m needed most.

My possession was part of the “summer youth program” of the city of Baytown. My duties there include, assisting in delivering/ picking up mail in the mornings then loading the truck to deliver items all over Baytown. After that I am in charge of “cycle counts” or inventory. I would also restock items where they where needed and although it wasn’t in part of the job I cleaned a lot there. Those are all my official duties. Id also for fill request from my superiors. Like helping filling out order forms. And printing labels. And getting anything they might need. In my spare time I enjoyed sitting in my boss’s office with him and chat. It was good work. Unfortunately it only lasted the 3 months of the summer break. Education
