SUMMARY

AUDREY GREENWELL

MCKINNEY, TX 75069 479-***-**** ******.*********@*****.***

My career started later in life. Rather than continue college, I married and started a family. There is additional information below on that, but I wanted to speak about my career as an Artist at Hallmark Card, Inc. In Kansas City, Missouri.

I have always done artwork . In High School and college I was proficient doing medical illustrations for myself and other students. I did not study art in school or college as I was pre-med and time for art classes was not available in my schedule.

I entered a China Painting Class in my twenties. I loved it and became very accomplished. I started teaching soon after. I moved to Kansas City and applied for a job at Hallmark Cards, Inc. With a suitcase full of painted China, I surprised a new Secretary by asking for a job interview. She was unfamiliar with my type of portfolio and tried to turn me away! I told her that I would prefer to have an artist review my work before they made that decision. I did get the job and spent 19 wonderful years creating greeting cards in a premier company. I became a supervisor of new artists as well as continuing creating art in Greeting Card Design. I stayed in that position for 10 years. I helped raise three children while caring for our home while my husband traveled extensively for his profession. I was basically Mom and Dad during that time, making decisions that normally would have been a shared experience. I traveled by car during the summer months to cities my husband was working in. We would be a family again during those times. This experience caused me to become self reliant and experienced beyond a normal homemaker. During these times, while my husband was away, I learned many skills beyond keeping house and child care. I became proficient with yard care and repair of broken items around the house while teaching my WORK HISTORY

children to hunt and fish. Sports were a big part of my life and baseball was the game of choice.

After my older two children were in college, I then got a job as an artist at Hallmark Cards, where I had a successful career as an artist. Art of varying forms has always been a part of my life and I still do water color.

I feel very comfortable in many situations, have a good personality and feel that my former skills will only enhance being a greeter in an Open House Situation. I am trainable, reliable and will endeavor to do my best.
