$5.9 billon not-for-profit integrated health system consisting of 12 acute care hospitals, extensive physician practices, home health, a healthcare plan (Optima) and related ambulatory services.

President, Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center

Oversaw hospital operations, strategic market leadership for Prince William County and the surrounding counties and matrix leadership for the physician practices in Prince William County. Led the IT Governance Council and Documentation & Data Integrity Council; President of the Potomac/Inova Healthcare Alliance LLC and executive leader for Potomac Ventures.

Improved ED/Hospital Flow including a 60% reduction in ED throughput resulting in a 20% improvement in experience scores

Served as majority and operating partner of the Lake Ridge Ambulatory Surgery Center. Assumed operating responsibility in late 2017 and improved from not profitable to profitable

Achieved physician alignment in the strategic planning process

$3 billion not-for-profit integrated health system consisting of 13 acute care hospitals serving more than 3.5 million people in 34 counties. Thomasville Medical Center is a 149-bed community acute care hospital with gross revenues of $250 million.

President, Thomasville Medical Center (2008-2016)

Provided executive administrative services for hospital operations, strategic market leadership for Davidson County and the surrounding counties and matrix leadership for the physician practices in Davidson County. Responsible for 120 child day care center operated by the hospital. Oversaw corporate operational committees, the corporate Novant Strategic Plan, and held led Franklin and Rowan acute care hospitals and the corporate wide EHR implementation in the 13 Novant acute hospitals.

Achieved 8% net revenue growth and 10% in productivity improvements resulting in a 20% contribution margin

Developed and implemented new certified diabetic education, wound clinic, sick child daycare, palliative care, outpatient rehab center, digital mammography with stereotactic biopsy, tele-neurology services, PET/CT, cardiac CTA, lithotripsy, and the total joint center

Received top performer for quality measures - customer satisfaction, employee satisfaction and physician satisfaction

Oversaw strategic planning, financial and quality management, policy development and capital planning. Provided leadership for nursing, cath lab, cardiopulmonary services, emergency department, environmental services, case management, utilization review, and patient services.
