Conditional Offer of Employment

We are pleased to make you this Conditional Offer of Employment with Ashley Distribution Services, LTD/Ashley Pacific Northwest dba Ashley PNW, Inc. (hereinafter “Ashley Distribution Services, LTD/Ashley Pacific Northwest dba Ashley PNW” or the “Company”) as a Truck Driver.

Terms of Employment. All offers of employment with Ashley Distribution Services, LTD/Ashley Pacific Northwest dba Ashley PNW and all continued employment with the Company are mutually understood to be consistent with the laws of the state of your hire. The terms and conditions of employment with Ashley Distribution Services, LTD/Ashley Pacific Northwest dba Ashley PNW may be modified in the future, subject to the laws of the state of your hire as to notice and acceptance. Examples of the types of terms and conditions of employment which are within the sole discretion of Ashley Distribution Services, LTD/Ashley Pacific Northwest dba Ashley PNW may include, but are not limited to the following: promotions, demotions, transfers, hiring decisions, benefits, qualifications, discipline, or any other term or condition of employment.

Conditions of Employment. This employment offer is conditional on your submission of a completed and signed employment application form, and the satisfactory outcome of pre-employment screening activities, including, but not limited to, a Department of Transportation physical, an educational, business and personal background check from your application, resume, and references, which may include a security investigation and accident, drug and alcohol history. This offer is also conditional on a negative test result on a pre-employment drug scan, which is a prerequisite for employment as a driver with Ashley Distribution Services, LTD/Ashley Pacific Northwest dba Ashley PNW. This test is paid for by the company and is required of all drivers, pursuant to FMCSA regulations. In addition, you must meet all of the essential functions of the job by successfully completing a certification class, which includes a road evaluation test. Criminal Background Report. A criminal background check shall be performed as a part of the hiring/certification process. The criminal background report may not be completed in its entirety prior to orientation, depending on your State and County of residence. If the criminal background report reveals convictions that were not disclosed to the Ashley Distribution Services, LTD/Ashley Pacific Northwest dba Ashley PNW Recruiting Department prior to the time of hire/certification, you may be subject to termination of employment. Ashley Distribution Services, LTD/Ashley Pacific Northwest dba Ashley PNW Dispatch Expectations. Ashley Distribution Services, LTD/Ashley Pacific Northwest dba Ashley PNW relies on its drivers to deliver the best in customer service and it expects you, as a company driver, to accept assignments directed to you as your commitment to the company. By signing below, you have no objections to hauling any type of legal freight offered to you. Turning down a load may lead to immediate termination, and the failure to perform may result in any disciplinary action, up to and including discharge from employment. Nothing in this Conditional Offer of Employment or any other oral or written representation by any employee, official, manager or supervisor of Ashley Distribution Services, LTD/Ashley Pacific Northwest dba Ashley PNW shall be construed as creating an employment contract. No implied contract concerning any employment related decision or term, or condition of employment can be established by statements, or conduct. This document constitutes an offer only. If the conditions set forth in this offer are met, a contract of employment will be prepared. If this conditional employment offer is acceptable to you, please sign and return the original of this document to Ashley Distribution Services, LTD/Ashley Pacific Northwest dba Ashley PNW, and retain a copy for your records.
