Magellan Behavioral Health Programmer/Database Administrator Maryland Heights, MO Performed duties of programmer as well as duties of Business Analyst, Database Administrator, Seagate Administrator, Application Tester, Technical Writer, Specification Writer, and Version Control Administrator. My main duties while working at Magellan included writing Crystal Reports drawing from a Microsoft SQL Server database. I programmed the stored procedures using T- SQL. I became proficient in using triggers, cursors, sub procedures, and linked servers. I also wrote stored procedures that automated the error-checking of the Crystal Reports by comparing the results of one report against another. I mainly used Crystal Reports with Microsoft SQL Server databases and NT4.0 operating system, but also used Actuate report writing tool and Oracle databases with Unix operating system. I also gained experience writing Crystal Reports against an Oracle database (using PL/SQL) and writing Actuate reports against a SQL Server database. I was also involved in moving the data from server to server and setting up securities. Basic duties also included moving data from mainframe to SQL Server, as well as moving from one SQL Server to another, using DTS and BCP. I also served as half of the two-person Seagate Info (Crystal Reports) Administration team. As part of that team, I helped to oversee and troubleshoot our 8.0 Crystal Reports, which were written for our Nortel Symposium Cal Center Server. I also error-checked and assisted the programmers who designed Crystal Reports against an HP9000 server, using an AS/400 application to pull it through. I also helped to oversee and troubleshoot all of the other Seagate/Crystal issues that arose for many of our other employees. Performed troubleshooting duties on some Access applications. Also developed some applications using VB6.0. Used Merant Version Control to version reports, applications and code.
