i was required to go to customers site to repair their office equipment. My job was to troubleshoot issue, find the problem and fix it.

While troubleshooting I would determine if I needed to call in to manufacturer tech support hotline. I also had to run copy and print jobs to ensure machine was up and running properly. Sometimes I had to test out features of machine such as booklet maker or finisher options (stapling, hole punching). I was the go between for customer and office. I was the first line of defense. That is to say, customer would call me first to discuss problem. If I could walk them through something to fix over the phone, I did. If I couldn't fix over the phone at least I had troubleshot and eliminated whether it was consumable or part or whether it was the machine or their network. I was customer service and service technician to over 300 customers in Southeast Florida. I drove everyday, sometimes all day. My area was from Vero Beach to Miami/Homestead over to Sebring and Okeechobee. Even went as far as Lake Wales when needed. I was responsible for ordering my own parts and returning them to Xerox. I was responsible for tracking Routine Maintenance Items in machines and replacing when End of Life was reported.

I was responsible for making my own route and schedule unless a customer was specified with a time then I would work my other customers around that.

I was the Office Manager. I was responsible for filing warranty claims on the Xerox machines we performed face to face calls on. Answered phone, ordered parts, made up work orders. I was responsible for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable. I made sure all customers were invoiced, all bills were entered into QB and made weekly deposits of receivables. I was responsible for printing paychecks. Responsibilities also included making sure quarterly taxes were correct, filed and paid. I was responsible for gathering all tax related documents for CPA.

Taught myself how to find Service Manuals for the printers that came in house (customers dropped them off). Learned how to read said manuals in order to troubleshoot and repair machine. We found out at that time I had a knack for this kind of work. Started going to school to learn Xerox machines (they were out main vendor at that point) and how to repair them. The certifications on Xerox machines gave me access to 2nd Level Tech Support.

Over the years with them (along with TUI and Xerox) I am now certified on close to 160 different Multifunction Devices and Printers. Was required to go to customers site to troubleshoot and repair issue with machine. Was responsible for filling out part(s) requisition form and turning it into Parts Dept. I was the only Outside Service Technician for RBM. My days ranged from the least amount of calls of 5 to the most amount of calls of 16.

If the office called with a new customer work order, I would try (and did for the most part) of reworking my schedule to fit them in. No customer waited more than 8 hours for me to show up. I was responsible for making my own route and schedule unless a customer was specified with a time then I would work my other customers around that.
