Registered Nurse/ Case management/Educator
Summary
RN with 22 years of experience doing various kinds of nursing jobs, recently I have earned the reputation of having an excellent clinical knowledge base in nursing demonstrated by receiving the highest scores on my nursing competency. I have provided patients with exceptional medical care during their hospital stay while educating patients and family members to improve the outcome of the patients recovery in and out of the hospital. In home health, medical care, case management and advocating for patients was of highest priority, with the outcome of more patients staying home and less admissions back to the hospital. Having perfected the art of IV administration, and wound/ostomy care, I was given the hardest cases. As an educator, I have precepted many nurses in the field of home health including IV skills, wound care, assessments, and computer program usage while also remaining a mentor whenever needed. I have taught parts of general orientation in the hospital for all nursing departments and wound care to many nurses one on one or in small groups.
