Position Summary
Manage Supplier Quality Team and suppliers to include investigations, analysis and resolve supplier manufacturing issues, (or their supplier issues). and customer quality problems by conducting audits, analyzing defect trends, leading continuous improvement projects or other methods as deemed necessary.
Work with Purchasing, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Management to ensure supplier performance is regularly reported and that appropriate and timely corrective/preventative actions are implemented.
Conduct supplier audits to drive process standardization and continuous improvement.
Monitor, communicate and improve key supply chain KPI’s.
Establish specific short / long term supplier quality goals.
Maintain and update critical supplier audit system and schedule.
Lead problem solving and root cause analysis activities with suppliers and customers
Work to resolve supplier technical issues in a timely manner to ensure continuity of supply.
Develop long term supplier relationships and generate and implement cost reduction ideas.
Assist Manufacturing in the evaluation and qualification of new suppliers.
