Directly supervise and manage the deployment of the unit’s detectives and support staff.
Coordinates efforts of department personnel in the development of a cold case investigation and the analysis, preservation and assessment of critical evidence.

Directly supervise and manage the deployment of the unit’s detectives and support staff with over 4000 cases annually to include Missing Person’s, runaway’s, request to locate and Kidnappings.
Manage and direct the issuance of all Amber Alerts to include Silver Alerts, Blue Alerts and missing and endangered persons.
Oversees the appropriate protocol is followed with the issuance of all Amber Alerts ensuring if the incident in question is an abduction or kidnaping and additional criteria is met, immediate activation is broadcasted without delay.
Manage and direct operations concerning Search & Rescue and Search & Recovery investigations. (Human Remains)
Coordinate efforts with FBI evidence recovery team, Texas Rangers, Travis County Search and Rescue to include deployment of cadaver K-9’s.
