With five ERP systems around the world each developed individually interacting with various bolt-on subsystems the Company recognized the need for a strong leader to design, implement and develop a single, unified Business System that would allow for common data tables and smooth interaction between systems thereby increasing operating efficiencies and data interactions.

Designed and implemented SIOP (Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning) System for global manufacturer. Migrated 5 independent systems in USA, Mexico, China, Thailand and Japan into a single consolidated ERP system resulting in common processes and procedures and standardized data tables. Identified and Implemented global IT Security Systems & Training to ensure no data breaches during my tenure.

Accepted 2 year ex-patriate assignment in Japan implementing strong financial controls and processes while building solid English-speaking finance, human resources and information services teams in Tokyo and in the factory in Sendai. Led the organization’s recovery from the Japan disaster through strong communications and leadership skills. Expanded the Flow Control Products business into USA and Europe

through aggressive marketing at tradeshows and strategic partnering resulting in 20%+ CAGR with 20%+ EBITDA. Recognized redundancy in the logistics center and relocated it to factory campus, reduced fixed factory staffing and moved the Tokyo office resulting in more than $2.0m reduced annual operating costs. Coordinated national tax audit (company’s first audit in 13 years) with resultant minimal additional tax liability ($0.1m).

The company identified the need for a strong change agent to help standardize global finance and accounting practices and procedures and implement sound internal controls.

Designed and implemented global chart of accounts and financial consolidation reporting structure (TM1) for 3 global companies operating in 18 countries. Streamlined closing processes from 7 days to 2. Recruited, trained and mentored high potential employees with no turnover in ten years. Implemented global shared services team in Thailand resulting in annual cost savings in excess of $1.2m. Led the organization through eight years of audit (independent and tax) with no material adjustments or adverse opinions.

common chart of accounts & service/construction software system and ensured all reporting met US GAAP standards for the construction and service industries. Integrated HVAC back-office functions to single shared service resulting in $1.5m annual operating costs reduction.
