Responsibilities: I was hired as an assistant field engineer / construction manager and or inspector.
My duties include observations of: AC paving, sub grade preparation, electrical / street lighting, traffic
signals, storm drain systems, mass grading, importing and off hauling materials, installation of new
overhead and regulatory signs. Also, I verify that all construction activities performed are in
compliance within compliance of the approved plans and or specifications, perform traffic control
duties, enforce storm water pollution prevention plans (SWPPP), and coordinate relocation's with
utilities, PG&E, Water utilities, Oil Lines, Fiber Optics, etc... I perform daily field reports, coordinate
materials testing, oversee safety compliance, review and process monthly pay estimates. Further, I
issue field instructions, and process change orders.

Responsibilities: General field observations applicable to all safety aspects. I currently oversee
three construction crews (approximately 70 employees). I coach and mentor by communicating
corporate and industry safety goals. I facilitate the employees with safety supplies. I answer all
work and safety related questions. I monitor and track all safety equipment, gas monitors, proper
PPE (personal protective equipment). I assist with field operations, excavation procedures, USA
(Underground Survey) and CAL OSHA notification. I provide training as needed, Truck and Trailer
Backing, Man-lift operations, MVS (Motor Vehicle Safety) etc... I implement Job Safety Plans,
perform SOP'S (Safe Operating Procedures), and ISEA'S (Internal Safety Environmental Audit). Also, I
assist Department Leads and Business Partners with accident investigations. Further, organize and
present safety updates at weekly tailgate meetings. On occasion I prepare and present safety related
material (with the use of Power Point) to both KSI Staff and All Business Partners.

Responsibilities: I worked directly with the Construction Management and Contract Division.
I was hired as a construction manager / construction inspector.
My duties included: To oversee the contractor’s construction activities for government contract jobs.
Observations for both minor and structural concrete, AC paving, sub grade preparation,
electrical installations for street lighting and traffic signals, storm drain systems, importing and
exporting materials, overhead and regulatory sign installations. Further, I would perform inspections of
bridge construction (box girder). I also performed post tension inspections. Additional responsibilities
included, coordination with all utility companies, preparation of daily field reports, coordinated
materials testing, oversaw safety compliance, prepared weekly statement of working days and weekly
status reports, reviewed and processed monthly pay estimates, issued field instruction, prepared change
orders, and facilitated weekly construction meetings. Certified work zone and traffic control safety
competent person, certified confined space competent person, and CPR certified.
Reason for Leaving: Continued my career in the private sector.
