OBJECTIVE
I am a registered and licensed occupational therapist (OT) with experience in multiple areas of my profession. My passion is to treat adults of all ages by offering various levels of care to maintain a quality of living and regain skills to return to their highest level of function. This position allows participation in creating a patient-centered care program promoting living to its fullest: OT evaluations, treatment planning, and interventions from an evidence-based platform. OT interventions include synthesizing patient sensory integration, cognitive processes, motor skills, and facilitation of techniques to improve the healing process. Occupational Therapist
Per diem at four skilled nursing facilities in Billings and Laurel, MT. OT promoted rehabilitation of daily activity participation at each level needed from assistive care to long term therapy. Treatment focused on regaining functional independence to maintain or improve quality of life.
Advanced Care Hospital: June 2022 to August 2022 as needed.
Acute care therapy following hospitalization in a progressive care setting of various medical complications. Case load varied according to need due to per diem job status.
St. Vincent’s Healthcare, Billings, Montana: October 2012 to April 2022
Occupational Therapist
Acute care included therapy in the intensive care unit, the neurologic floor, and the orthopedic floor evaluating patients’ motion to be used at home for functional transfers and activities of daily living with referral to various levels of care in the community.
Caseload included evaluating 8-10 patients per day, assessing patient and family needs, and giving input to the medical team. Treatment includes educating in functional mobility with the recommendation of adaptive equipment, placement needs for safety and further rehabilitation and assessing cognitive and sensory integration.
