These accomplishments may have occurred in various settings. Beginning from an early age of 13, I was very fortunate to be part of a small family business, Marquis warehousing, that instilled strong work ethic's and values. Measurable life skills, lessons and skill sets and knowledge of many varied supply chain applications, primarily in the trucking and logistics industry from facility management, inventory control, yard management human resources safety and training compliance.
Over this 35 year career, I had many accomplishments, but particularly proud when I was tasked with the responsibility for ISO 9001 certification in 1997.
This was a very challenging, yet vital task, as our operation was very fluid and varied with many multiple customers, types of stored product and handling methods.
Key components of this task included:
1) Planning operational needs, labor/human resources, accounting, inventory accounting and safety for implementation. 2) Identify responsibilities, policies, and objectives. 3) Developed procedural and quality documentation. 4) launched our quality management system/program. 5) Registered for 9001 certification
6) Monitored and reviewed our daily performance and Continual improvement process. Through this process, it taught me Key components to quality management systems and continual Improvement processes that, to this day, I exercise in every application of my life.
Supervisor Security Screener for the Mobil Screening Forces for the United States Department of Homeland Security, Transportation Security Administration, (TSA). After September 11, 2001, I was hired by the TSA for the Mobil Screening Forces, which was a team of first hires, train the trainers, to train new Federal Screeners as the Federal Government took over all 3rd party private check point screening, which, at the time, was 415 commercial airports throughout the United States and US Territories. My duties and responsibilities included, not limited to, training new Federal Checkpoint screener personnel at various commercial airports across the United States and US territories that became staffed with Federal Screeners post 911.
While working with the transportation security administration, my task were varied as our operation was very fluid. my many varied daily task were successful by following these key processes: 1) beginning of tour Service talk and daily assignments. 2) Evaluating staff levels versus checkpoint volumes. 3) assuring all security checkpoint stations were covered by staff along with rotating station coverage. 4) reporting checkpoint passenger issues and staffing issues to senior management.
