WAITRESS 07/2021 to 09/2021

IV10, Fortrose

Worked 9 to 12-hour shifts 6 days a week in a busy, fine dining environment, demonstrating my time management skills and reliability.

Duties included setting up and closing the restaurant, welcoming customers, and taking responsibility for certain tables, cultivating my strong communication skills. The role advanced my teamwork skills by allowing me to be an energetic member with highly developed multi-tasking skills. Being retained over the Christmas period demonstrates my dedication to delivering first-class customer service.

Assisted customers with the menu, took food and drink orders, and served tables. Upheld a high standard of cleanliness in all work areas.

Undertook alcohol licensing training and demonstrated this knowledge by refusing service to intoxicated customers and adhering to the “Challenge 25” alcohol service strategy.

RESPITE CAREGIVER 09/2018 to 01/2021

Rachael Grist, Inverness

Looked after a 13-year-old girl who suffers from severe EB (Epidermolysis Bullosa).

Responsibilities included administering medication and nutrients through a stomach tube, as well as fixing and replacing medical bandages. Other responsibilities required of me included organising, participating in recreational activities and play, preparing food and refreshments, and providing any additional help needed for her family, greatly developing, and testing my organisational capabilities.

Furthermore, as a result, I have become more reliable, caring and patient. It has improved my ability to be quick on my feet and remain calm in stressful situations, as well as improving the way I adapt to difficult situations.

Underwent special safety training for this role, demonstrating my dedicated work ethic.
