Provides morning, evening and/ night care, which may include bed bath, oral hygiene, shampooing and combining hair, back and nail care, shaving, dressing patient, changing bed linen, cleaning over bed table and bedside stand, straightening room, and other general care as needed throughout the day. Prepares patients for meals, severs and removes food trays, and assists with meals or feed patients. Assist in and accompanies patients in the admission, transfer, and discharge procedures. Distributes drinking water and other nourishment to patients. Performs general care activities for patients in isolation. Answers patients call lights, anticipates patients needs, and makes rounds on assigned patients. Assist patients with handling clothing and other personal property(including dentures, glasses, contact lenses, hearing aids, prosthetic device) throughout there hospital stay. Transport patients to and from various departments as requested. Assists in maintaining a safe and clean environment by cleaning Utility Rooms, cleaning equipment and preparing for disinfection or sterilization, reporting equipment that is out of order, reporting other problems to Clinical Manager/Supervisor, appropriate handling of clean and dirty linen and storing supplies on the unit.
