PETROLEUM AND SUPPLY SPECIALIST MOS: 92 F April 2003 - June 2014
U. S. Army, Fort Benning, GA
Supervised over 100 military and civilian staff working in fuel distribution; worked with fuel bladders, filter separation equipment, and fuel pumps. Took fuel samples to test. Performed Millipore testing, Performed Aqua-Glo testing, Inspected fuel samples by sight, checked gravity for fuel quality/purity, and checked flashpoint for safety/possible explosive conditions in storage and purity. Checked for water in tanks, temperature of fuel and tank surfaces (expansion of fuel and safety issue), and fuel levels; reported any suspected dilutions or odd readings. Recorded testing information on sample and sent it to the laboratory. Fueled Chinook helicopters, C-130 airplanes, tanker trucks, and heavy equipment mobile tactical trucks (Hemtts). Distributed over 200 million gallons of fuel in Iraq without spillage incidents or accidents. Supervised pump stations in Kuwait that distributed fuel via pipelines to numerous points in Iraq. Performed fuel delivery missions in Afghanistan; worked with the U.S. Air Force to supply fuel to meet their mission requirements. Prepared, checked, and verified shipping and receiving documents and logs. Checked for safety and security of the fuel storage and distribution; checked fuel gauges for evidence of tampering; checked fuel lines and tanks for leakage and usual marks, scratches, spill stains, prints and other indications requiring advanced security inspection and solution. Made or arranged repairs to terminals and delivery conduits.
Qualifications:
Handled and dispersed fuel for four years while in the U. S. Army as a 92F.
Assess fuel quantities; calculate use. Monitor distribution and flow of fuel.
Security checks in fuel storage lots.
Generate reports of fuel status and monitor environmental conditions for safe fuel storage.
Perform maintenance and repairs to tanks, lines, and obtain gauge repair technician work.
Visually Inspects samples of fuel, and checks gravity and flash points.
Licensed to operate military vehicles 2.5 ton to 5 ton vehicles, tankers, various forklifts, C-Trucks with shovel and backhoe attachments and heavy equipment mobile tactical truck (Hemtts)
