Review and T/W each employee and set the pace for the day. Complete positive contacts with new hires and document in Cornerstone book. Review any attendance issues from previous days and document on employee record.
Update Hourly Result on a TDR. Volume, hours, production. Cover and patrol your entire work area, ensuring that sorters are positioned correctly, moving to the work and following proper sort methods.
Document on TDR. 2 min drill includes observing the employee and reviewing any methods done well or methods that need improvement. Examples: Test Packages, most common recycles, package handling, C Slide usage, containerize smalls, sense of urgency, DOK questions, methods, PPH.
Work with planned most to gain employee identified on TDR and from action plans. W/W should be documented on correct form depending on the type of work with. (Method Eval, SWM, SWM Observation, CS pack, employee record, Label Test Certification) Get commitment for improvement from employee
End of day process of sending employees home, directing wrap up activities such as employees picking up loose tags, labels, over goods, trash & supplies to ensure a smooth wrap up. Secure all equipment and supplies. Follow prescribed "shut-off routine" for electrical devices. Follow local operating plan for check belt routine. Verify all packages have been serviced. Also follow PTCC post sort walk off and document completed on the TDR. Complete DECR.
