Duties and Responsibilities

> Plans all corrective, and campaign electrical maintenance activities in order to facilitate related project work

> Leads a team of skilled Electrical Technicians and manages interfaces with operations, engineering, to ensure that plant integrity and safe operations are maintained. Reports to the Maintenance Supervisor

> Directs all electrical maintenance activities at recovery plant

> Leads a team of skilled electrical technicians and act as interface between management and technical team

> Conversant with ICSS control systems, telecommunication equipment, power generation, electrical switch gear, power monitoring systems

> Leads ad-hoc teams of contract and vendor technicians for construction and maintenance work as required

> Ensures that plant and equipment is maintained according to compliance and integrity standards in order to meet expected reliability and 'uptime' Key

> Develops maintenance policies and guidelines for the smooth, efficient and effective delivery of all operations

> Educated in a related Maintenance discipline

> Responsible for the electric service which provides support for electrical site Equipment breakdowns and carries out fault finding, installation and continuous improvement work

> Provide technicial support to a diverse range of projects for equipment and services

> Project Manage assigned projects, to ensure timely execution, to budget and client expectations

> Project organization skills and an excellent track record for Health and Safety within projects

> High focus on ensuring that all aspects of the construction work is performed safely

•Correctly use and maintain the tools of the trade including power tools, test equipment and measuring instruments.

•Prepare different types of cables with different cable sheathing systems and accessories for the jointing process.

•Joint copper or aluminum conductor cables using soldering, mechanical or compression techniques.

•Terminate cables using soldering, mechanical or compression techniques.

•Insulate cable joints and terminations according to the specifications or code of practice using heat shrink tubing or cold mix compound.

•Plumb lead or aluminum sheathed cable in any plane and apply the alternative use of mechanical earth connector.

•Identify different types of cables, and different cores and pairs for telephone and pilot cables.

•Use safety equipment, and protective devices and equipment.

•Correctly instruct, supervise, and transfer skills to any apprentice or semi-skilled worker assigned to him to ensure safety and quality of work.

•Apply live work procedures and skills for Tee and Straight LV joints and terminations.

• Experience: 13 years’ experience in Gulf countries and 4 Years in India
