Opening Statement and Thoughts:

I have been in the Mortgage Lending arena for over 40 years and have given many workshops and training sessions across the nation. My expertise has been used by many banks to develop their Secondary Mortgage Departments and train bank personnel to be functional and competitive in their areas of the Mortgage Lending Department and bank as a whole.

QUARRY CITY SAVINGS AND LOAN ASSOCIATION – Past Vice President and Head of Secondary Mortgage Department

President - Steve Andrew asked me to consider coming to work for Quarry City and set up the Secondary Mortgage Department. This would include VA, FHA, and USDA. Since I was working for US BANK as their Senior Account Executive, working with sixty-nine banks across Kansas, Missouri, and Arkansas, & Illinois, this was a chance to stop traveling over 500 to 600 miles a week, conducting many training sessions and seminars, so I agreed to do so.

And that is how the Mortgage Department began, here at Quarry City Savings and Loan. We started to build a successful Secondary Mortgage Division that no one else had in the area. Therefore, we were successful in promoting our marketability, and began enticing customers to come to Quarry City for all their banking needs. MPF-XTRA was my primary Investor as this also would entice customers to get their Mortgage needs fulfilled, make their payments locally, and to transfer all their banking needs, here to Quarry City. This also brought in some nice revenue to the bank, in servicing those loans. Since my Major BS Degree from Central Missouri State University is MARKETING with a minor in Business Administration, this was my goal, and it has worked tremendously. We continue to service millions of dollars in MPF-XTRA mortgages, and the bank continues to increase in customer loyalty to Quarry City Savings and Loan.

Banking Experience:

Quarry City Savings and Loan: Vice President – Head of Secondary Mortgage Lending 2009-2022

Developed the Secondary Mortgage Lending Department with outside mortgage vendors, US BANK and MPF XTRA. Set up the Federal Home Loan bank – MPF XTRA program, and set up the VA, FHA, and USDA government programs. At the time of this writing, this program had contributed a nice revenue in fee income and the servicing has increased millions of dollars in mortgage loans. Also, at the time of this writing, we are the only lender in the area that offer the MPF XTRA program, and it has become well documented, that we are the lender of choice for this type of mortgage loan. This is my 14th year with Quarry City.

US BANK HOME WHOLESALE MORTGAGE–Senior Account Executive: 2002 -2009

My territory included all of Missouri, Kansas, Northern Arkansas, & Southern Illinois, where I bought Secondary Mortgages from sixty-nine banks and brokers. I trained, gave support, and conducted many seminars to the banks/brokerages, with program updates and new products. I bought an average of $ 12 to $26 million dollars per month with a record of $301 million in the year 2008. I also conducted seminars at Statewide Mortgage Conventions. Conducted seminars in Las Vegas, Nevada at our annual bank meetings.

Commercial Federal Bank of Omaha – Senior Account Executive: 1995-2002

My territory included Missouri, Kansas, Northern Arkansas, and all of Illinois. I expanded the bank clients in a 3year period. Purchased over $150 Million Dollars in mortgages in 2002 and was Second in the Nation in 2005, with total production for Commercial Federal Wholesale Division, when I bought over $312 million dollars in mortgages for the Secondary Mortgage Markets. I trained, gave support, and conducted seminars to banks with program updates and latest programs and products.

Mercantile Bank – Vice President and Manager: 1992-1995

Branch Manager for Mercantile Bank of St. Louis, here in Warrensburg, Missouri. Awarded “BRANCH OF THE YEAR” in 1994 for highest percentage of growth and loan production increase for the Midwest Division. In 1995 Mercantile Bank of St. Louis bought Citizens-Jackson Bank and the bank put me in charge of the merger and the Commercial Loan Division at the new facility. In 1997, the then Mortgage Loan Manager left the bank, and I became the Mortgage Loan Manager, where I increased the Mortgage Production to over $2 million dollars per month, in the first 6 months of offerings into the Secondary Mortgage Market for the area.

From 1983 – 1992, I worked at the Lake of the Ozarks at the Sunrise Beach Bank as the Vice President of Mortgage Lending.

In these positions, again, I was asked to help stimulate their procurement of Mortgage Loans into the Secondary Market arena. Later, Mercantile Bank of St. Louis, Missouri, asked me to consider joining them here in Warrensburg, Missouri, as Bank Branch Manager.

My current duties at Quarry City, are to set the Mortgage Rates Daily, and to release those rates to all the Loan Officers, review all Appraisals, review all Final Title Polices, and Deeds of Trust before submission to various investors that service loans that Quarry City sends to outside vendors to service, and or, MPF loans that we service. I am still an administrator for MPF, FNMA, FHLMC, & NMLS.
