Born and raised in Jefferson Township, Nj / North Jersey – Morris County. Eldest daughter if Ellsworth W. and Evelyn A. Brown; has 2 younger siblings, NJ Attended Jefferson Township schools, graduated HS 1974. Graduated from County College of Morris with Associate Arts – 1976 Graduate of Shenandoah College and Conservatory of Music- Bach Arts/Music Therapy -1979 Graduate of Texas Woman’s University - Master Arts/Music Therapy – 1981 Began career with Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Biloxi, MS – 1982 Creative Arts Therapist - Music, Psychodrama and Pet therapy. Moved with the federal govt.- VA to Houston, TX; Northampton, MA; Salisbury, NC; Phila, PA and back to Salisbury, NC - total of 35 yrs. with VA. Became Department Manager of Public Relations and Community Resources in 1992. Delegated as per National Manager, Washington, DC as needed for conferences, State, Regional and National events to include oversight of over 4,000 volunteers, veterans and organizations. Interactions were with National, Regional, State and Washington DC liaisons with congressmen, senators, etc. Hold many awards and citations from all contacts in my career with Veterans Affairs offices and National Charity organizations, local, regional, and National. One of note is that of saving the life of a veteran at a National Event in Washington, DC.

Married to Jim Perry, Marine Recon Veteran (deceased) for 40 yrs., before his death in 2019. Raised 3 stepchildren and had Son, Sean in 1999; along with 2 granddaughters in LA. Retired and moved back to NJ in August 2013, then caretaker of Mother for the past 10 yrs. at her home, the family homestead.

Substitute teacher- Jefferson Twp. Schools k-12, 1976-1982 when home from college (6yrs) Public Relations is one of my strengths, as well as, working special assignments for core planning, community and meeting veterans and public needs.

Member of American Business Women's Association; Marine Corp League Associate Member, Who’s of America and recently, included in Shenandoah Alumni Who’s Who to be printed next year. Team member of many committees and mentors to many throughout my career.
