December 2017 – Present Albertson’s Jewel Osco
Floral Manager
Senior Designer
Entered into Jewel through their Star Bucks business. Was quickly brought into their Floral Department for support based on my skill sets in floral design, corsage making and willingness to work hard. Very personable with clientele and quickly made customers very happy. After about four months, a manager was hired and I moved into the grocery department. Worked directly under the Store Director and Assistant Store Director. Learned quickly, was very strong and excelled at everything I did. In the spring of 2022 I was offered the new opportunity to fill the role of the HR position.
Moved into this role seamlessly and learned payroll, Time and Attendance, Policy, Interview skills and all around go to for support within the store by all employees. Kept confidential information close and was well respected by all staff.
In October of 2022, I was offered the Managerial Role as Floral Lead. Was schooled and tested for my Floral Certification. Continue to be successful bringing the Department profit and loss margins up passing at least four stores over the few months in this new role. Every Spring I gear up to run and operate the entirety of the Outdoor Garden Center. Having taken two awards for Top Sales amongst 92 other stores in the Northern, Illinois area, I continue to be a highly valued employee, having learned most all roles within Jewel/Osco.
