PROJECT EXPERIENCE

“Capture The Flag Challenge” Cyber Infrastructure Technologies March 2022

Given a scenario of having to pick up an investigation from where a former monitoring systems operator left off, where it was discovered that there were multiple attempts of a user/entity to download files on a honeypot, I was to access data that was left on a POP3 Mail Server to investigate events and suspicious messages.

Retrieved the messages off the mail server with pertinent pieces of data, which I filtered further using Splunk. Discovered an encrypted string and copied and pasted it to the Base64 encode and decode website.

Successfully decoded the string and discovered the hidden message.

Network Attack project using chosen attack method Ethical Hacking March – May 2016

●Selected a network attack method to render a denial of service (DOS) to a virtual network that I created.

●Initiated a “ping flood” on the virtual network, while client on the virtual network was trying to stream a YouTube video.

●Successfully caused the network to slow down and the video to “buffer”, making the video impossible to stream.

Virtual Data Center Team Project Virtualization & Cloud Computing March – May 2016

●Collaborated with a team of 4 other students from class to build a virtual data center using Microsoft VMWare; Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2 with Active Directory; Windows 7 workstations; and networking (LAN and WAN).

●Successfully implemented data center.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Lee’s Summit R-7 School District October, 2014 - Present

Paraprofessional Specialist

●Facilitate the instruction of small groups of students who were identified, through assessment, as needing supplemental instruction in math and/or reading (Response to Intervention—RTI).

●Conducted some of my job duties on a virtual basis, during the COVID-19 pandemic, while students were on virtual learning.

●Plan and deliver daily lessons that target the academic areas of need.

●Report student progress (quantified through weekly assessment) to teachers, administration, and other stakeholders.

●Generate administrator-requested reports about changes in student scores between district scheduled assessments.

●Assist in the placement and scheduling of students in small instructional groups.

Residency Verification Clerk July and August 2017, 2019, & 2020

Utilized PowerSchool to view student enrollment records with updated proof of residency documents, and immunization records.

Flagged the records in PowerSchool that did not meet the district-set criteria for proof of residency and/or immunization documents and sent auto-generated e-mails to parents/guardians notifying them to resubmit corrected documents.

Answered phone calls from parents with questions or problems with online enrollment and forwarded more complex questions to the appropriate staff members who could provide solutions.
