As Bilingual HR Manager/Safety Specialist, I successfully directed all human resources areas to include recruitment, hiring, training and development of training procedures, safety issues, labor and legal issues related to OSHA, EEOC, AA; in charge of all site inspections related to safety and health, implemented successfully safety and security support functional for all new plant construction for the construction of the world’s largest beef plant.

I successfully directed all human resources, recruitment of regular and Latino staff, hiring /firing and training of all employees; in charge of plant health and safety, legal matters involving labor relations, OSHA, EEOC and AA; successfully developed an AV training manual at Farmland Foods; developed and implemented fire and safety procedures via the writing of the bilingual safety manual.

Dallas Independent School District, Dallas, TX., 8/1986-5/1990.

As Program Administrator for the Gifted Program, I was successful in supervising and evaluating the gifted program and its teachers, writing curriculum for the gifted, managing a 3M budget for the Gifted Program; in addition; I successfully administrated the K-6 Colonial Learning Center as Assistant Principal in charge of 100 teachers and 600 students where I was responsible for teacher supervision and evaluation.

As Director of Spanish and French Translators, I succeeded in developing a payroll and compensation plan for over 300 Spanish and French Translators; in charge of all editing and proof reading for all projects to be presented for all websites.

School District 11, Colo. Spgs., CO, 8/1996-8/1997.

As Director of G.L.O.B.E. Charter School, I successfully directed over 100 teachers and 400 students; in charge of school discipline, teacher supervision, evaluations and training; succeeded in maintaining the school charter for five more years.

Eastern New Mexico University, Portales, N.Mex., 8/1973-5/1979.

As Department Chair and Professor of Spanish and French, I was successful in developing new curriculum for the Spanish for Native Speaker curriculum; I succeeded in obtaining over $200,000 in Title III Grant money to fund the new language lab and archival collections; succeeded in writing Spanish for Native Speaker curriculum and publishing it on ERIC Press microfiche; developed a successful Teacher Training Program for Bilingual Education teachers to receive their credentials at the Universidad de Guanajuato, Mexico while serving as their instructor.

Garden City High School, Garden City, KS., 8/1979-5/1981.

As Director and Department Chair of E.S.L, I was successful in developing a complete E.S.L. program and curriculum for all students and teachers in Kansas.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

-Member and Faculty Senator sitting on Higher Education Boards to include the American Institute for Foreign Study and the American Association of University Professors responsible for curriculum assessments and state textbook adoptions.

-Successfully designed and implemented Audio-Visual Training for all new hires in manufacturing for English and Spanish speakers.

-Successfully designed and implemented bilingual work station templates for each individual position.

-Responsible for developing and implementing in Spanish, English and French company brochures both in the U.S. and Canada.

-Successfully designed and implemented ISO9001 QA KPMG initiatives for certification of key staff with focus on plant-wide performance to include bilingual implementation in Spanish and English.

AWARDS:

-NDEA Total Immersion Program Award for French Teachers at Colorado State University leading to M.A. in French and French Linguistics.

-Jean Mignolet Award to conduct art research at the Louvre Museum in Paris for art curriculum development in Arts Evolution for Colorado Schools; developed for the French Alliance of Denver.

-Randolph Hearst Award to conduct doctoral research in Central and South American via combative literature in the southwest libraries of the U.S. in contrast to the library system of Mexico.

-National Fellow Award for the National Endowment of Humanities to develop university curriculum in Spanish for Native Speaker studies published in ERIC Press microfiche collections.
