Skills

I am currently working on a Cybersecurity certificate through Thinkful and and studying for my A+ and Network+ Certificates. I have a passion for computer science and would love the opportunity to work along side and learn about IT support and make it into my career.

I have built and repaired computers from scratch. I know how to install motherboards, install RAM, power supplies, optical drives, processors, liquid cooling for the processors, regular fan coolers and also GPUs.

I have installed multiple operating systems from Windows XP, Windows 7 and 10 and have partitioned hard to boot Linux as well. Currently in my bootcamp I am taking through Thinkful we have set up virtual machines and created firewalls, imaged drives, learned device management and work command line interfaces to create and adjust files on the OS.

I have set up my home network with a router and access points. In my A+ course in college we would send up LANs through switches as well and test them through the command interface.

I have also worked about 7 years in a customer service role in collections. I would take numerous call everyday and would answer questions the customer would have by looking through the information given to us in our program. Much of my job was dealing with angry customers so I know how to keep calm and get the answer needed even under stress and problem solve under difficult situations.
