District Manager

The primary purpose of this position is to direct store personnel to operate in an efficient manner, while adhering to company policies, procedures and programs that maximize potential sales, script growth, margin and profitability. Frequent independent judgments are essential. The incumbent is also required to perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate policies and state and federal laws.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Supervise Store Managers to ensure that each store achieves bottom-line profitability.

* Ensure the training and development of Store Managers; oversee the transfer and promotion of pharmacy associates.

* Ensure that training and development tools and programs are implemented and consistently utilized.

* Ensure that each store implements and supports all corporate marketing, merchandising, and operational programs.

* Act as a liaison between store management and the corporate offices by communicating oral and written direction to store personnel.

* Establish and implement processes (i.e. bulletins, price changes, and cycle counts) that are in compliance with the company's policies and procedures.

* Conduct frequent store visits and complete tour sheets and the required Shrink Management Tools (SMTs).

* Interact with the Regional Vice President (RVP), Pharmacy Development Managers (PDMs), Loss Prevention Managers (LPMs), Field Auditors, and Human Resources Managers (HRMs) as a part of regional and district teams.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position directly supervises Store Managers and indirectly supervises Pharmacists, LPMs, and PDMs. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, directing, rewarding, and disciplining associates; appraising associate performance; and resolving complaints
