Writing Centers and Students with Disabilities Project — Middle Tennessee State University
In this project, I questioned whether institutional Writing Centers provide their tutors with enough training to work with students with disabilities. After reading the current scholarship of disabilities and Writing Centers, and after speaking to current writing tutors, I concluded that the tutors should continue to develop and enhance their skills in listening and communicating, because it is the tutee who knows how to best utilize accommodations.
