Planning and Forecasting Manager

Complete responsibility for preparing the Supply Status Report for strategic planning. Conduct weekly product availability meetings with executive management via web and teleconference. Provide recommendations to Sales, Production, Marketing and senior management for the most profitable use of products available. Develop reports for various departments. Assist Sales and Production in preparing forecasts and maintaining budget goals. Prepare ad hoc reports as needed for Sales, Marketing, Finance and VP.

• Founder of a one page report, the Current Availability Report, which allowed Dole Fresh Flowers to see on one page, the long and short positions of all significant products for an 18 week period, while still allowing for immediate detailed information as needed. This report continued to be the foundation for Dole’s strategic planning of product management.

• Critical involvement in the first real profitability analysis of Dole Fresh Flowers. Today, this has evolved into a tool facilitating more profitable and competitive pricing by Sales.

• Initiated tint program that reduced dumping of product and saved the company approximately $600K annually.

• Created program in AS400 queries that automatically provides Dole Fresh Flowers the data for numerous analyses such as forecasting, allocation of product, production planning, etc. Estimated savings of at least $45-55K in consulting fees.

1999 – 2002

Business Analyst

Responsible for the budget preparation for several departments amounting to over

$500,000. Review monthly and annual budget variances with department heads. Prepare reports for Departments to improve productivity and efficiency. Data mining and developing of ad hoc reports from the AS400 system.

• Created the FAST report for Receiving department. This allowed several departments to have visibility of the arrival of products for the company. Reduced need for communications with Receiving and improved the productivity of everyone involved.

• Created the Isolation report for the Vice President. This report escalated awareness of the percentage of product volume that was being sold at less than market prices due to poor inventory turnover.

• Created the Product Pulling report that initiated an incentive program which improved the pulling of product from the warehouse significantly. Savings in reduction of manpower needed is estimated to be at least $110,000 annually.

• Created the Budget for Receiving and Shipping and significantly reduced historical budget variances by at least 10-15%. The budget preparation template created, simplified the preparation of subsequent budgets and was still being used by Dole Fresh Flowers as of 2005.

Coca Cola Enterprises, Hollywood, Florida. 1991-1999 Equipment Control Division Manager

Responsible for the training of dispatchers, call center specialists and settlement clerks, over 40 employees, 11 directlysupervised, implementation and auditing of the equipment control tracking system for the entire Florida division. Data mining from the AS400 system and preparing ad hoc reports. Develop reports for key business indicators tracking. Provide guidance for the division in developing proper auditing practices and control processes to minimize vending equipment losses.

• Using hands off management and team ownership approach, achieved dramatic productivity results from team during division consolidation project.

• First division in the country that developed a settlement productivity report. Division’s settlement department became number one in the nation in productivity. This resulted in a quota system and a standard for employee evaluation.
