Sept 2006- Dec 2013 Rhode Island Kitchen and Bath, Warwick RI

Designer/Sales

Follow-up on sales leads for kitchen and bath remodeling projects. Met with customers in their homes to measure their space and discuss their needs, desires and budget and potential design solutions including construction changes including removing walls and building additions. Used 20/20 and Chief Architect to design multiple options for potential customers so they could select what best suited them. Sold the project, designed the selected project with the customer from conception through implementation selecting all of the materials to be used and calculating and communicating costs. Wrote specifications detailing all the products to be used, including cabinets, countertop, backsplash and floor tile, lighting and other electrical. Technical drawings included in the specs for the trades people included drawings of the existing space, proposed floor plans, electrical plan, cabinet plan, countertop plan, elevations including tile layouts.

Notable Projects

Child Nutrition Program, New Hampshire Department of Education, Nevada and Massachusetts

Designed and developed web applications for the Child Nutrition Program Management Information System for multiple States. They systems allwed claims and applications to be filled out on-line by participating organizations including school districts. Claims were automatically checked for errors and records needing special approval were flagged. The system exported a payment voucher file for the states’ business office.

Developed detailed design specifications and served as database administrator on the SQL Server databases.

Project Manager

Healthy Start, Massachusetts

Project manager and programmer/analyst for the web-based application and client tracking system for the MDPH. System supported both the Mass Health and Healthy Start medical insurance programs.

Healthy Families, Massachusetts

Project manager and programmer analyst for developing a participant tracking system. Designed and developed user interface screens and databases to collect participant data and track progress in the program.

Created training materials and trained program staff at 65 locations throughout Massachusetts.

Programmer Analyst

RI Department of Environmental Management (RIDEM)

Supported the design and implementation phases of the Permit Process and Tracking and Information System project. Provided training materials and trained the management trainers on the user interface screens and the reporting capability.

Met with the departments heads and stakeholders to determine the concerns and goals of each department.

Validated the data conversions of multiple legacy databases into one cohesive database.
