WORK EXPERIENCE

Senior mechanical maintenance engineer. January 2017 - Current

East Delta Electricity Production Company.

Suez power plant 650 MW (GE Steam Turbine).

Duties and responsibilities:

Supervise, Manage, provide direction and engineering expertise to lead a team of engineers and technicians for carrying out the maintenance activities for the steam turbines, steam turbines auxiliaries, hypochlorite generation units, hydrogen generation units, condensate water polisher units and desalination units.

Participating in the minor and major inspection and overhauls for the steam turbines,multistage feed water pumps( turbines drive and motor drive), 6 KV water pumps (vertical &horizontal ), centrifugal compressors.

Reduced Backlog and Maintenance Deferrals by Planning Maintenance Activities with required resources (e.g. labors, materials, tools, vendor…etc.) for safe and efficient execution.

Improving maintenance effectiveness by reviewing current preventive maintenance programs and develop specific equipment reliability plan.

Refinement of conditional Based maintenance activities by auditing reports including vibrations analysis, oil sampling results, equipment performances and identify required improvements.

Reducing risks related to maintenance activities by ensuring that maintenance operations are prepared in strict accordance with company current safety regulations and standard operating procedures.

Supervising for GE steam turbine installation, commissioning and maintenance practices.

Performed all tests, measurements, and inspections for installation the steam turbine.

Supervising erections, hydrostatic tests, flushing and commissioning for the lube oil, hydraulic oil and seal oil circuits for the steam turbine.

Follow up hydrostatic test for main condenser, critical piping and non-critical piping.

Supervised Steam blow for all the HP/LP lines.

Follow up auxiliary mechanical equipment erections pumps, heat Exchangers, compressors, main condenser.

Supervised the procedure and application of Maintenance Planning.
