Objective: To work at a job where I can make a difference and feel fulfilled and enjoy. I am registered Nurse and have worked in the nursing field for over 40 years. I still would've like to work and very capable. I am looking for something that is in a different Nursing from Long term Care. I have a lot of background in customer service, supervising, dealing with finances during my nursing career, doing some case management, utilization review, working with Insurance companys in various positions I have held during my nursing career in management. I would like to put those qualities to another use. I am a good worker and dedicated to any position I would hold.
Qualifications: I have been a Registered Professional Nurse for 42 years. In that time I had 13 years in a hospital setting and 21 years in Long Term Care, I am currently employed at Alpine Rehab and Nursing in Little Falls NY. I am working as MDS coordinator.
Prior to this job I was employed at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady NY as Case Manager. My employment to Mount Loretto in Amsterdam, NY as the MDS coordinator and Interim Director of Nursing for 2 months. I also was employed at Montgomery Meadows R.H.C.F. for 13 years total. While employed at the meadows I served in various job descriptions. I was Head Nurse for a 40 bed unit for 3.5 years. I was MDS Coordinator in conjunction with Restorative Nursing. For total of 6.5 years. From 2000-2001 I was acting DON. I took and passed the Civil Service Administrative test in 1999. From 2001 through 2003 I was the DON and also performed as Acting Administrator for 4 months. From April 2005-June 2006 I remained at the Meadows doing the MDS and then in 2006 I was DON until Dec. 2006 when facility was sold. I opted not to work for the new owners. I worked for Montgomery County Public Health for 2 months. I also had been employed at Tryons Girl School for 3 months in 2008.
I bring personal and professional experience as evidenced by my resume along with a strong desire to continue my qualities I have used as a professional nurse to work in a career of a different setting.
