Duties and Responsibilities

Supervises all loss control and security staff in the assigned warehouse to ensure the company rules, policies and standard operating procedures are always followed by everyone.

Identify hazards and security risks in the warehouse and raise them to management for necessary action.

Train your team and always keep it motivated and focused on attaining set goals and beyond .

Conduct third party vehicle inspections on weekly basis and maintain records for the same .

Reconcile all TRQs as will be shared from HQ against branch records and submit report on any matters arising on daily basis.

Monitor compliance with standard operating procedures for loss prevention, physical security, or risk management.

Investigate known or suspected internal & external theft, or vendor fraud.

Collaborate with law enforcement agencies to report or investigate crimes within the assigned branch .

Testify in civil or criminal court proceedings when called upon by management .

Conduct store audits to identify problem areas or procedural deficiencies e.g. alarm system, perimeter walls, store arrangements, CCTV, etc.

Identify and report merchandise or stock shortages/stock-outs to the warehouse management team for necessary action .

Maintain documentation or reports on loss prevention-related incidents.

Perform covert surveillance and of areas susceptible to loss, such as receiving areas, Dispatch areas, stock room, refueling areas, and driver delivery points.

Prepare and submit written reports on loss control investigations as they arise .

Verify proper functioning of physical security systems, such as closed-circuit televisions, alarms or locks and shutters

Conduct third checks on stocks being delivered by suppliers to detect or deter any form of collusion to under-receive .

Identify and report safety concerns to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.

Form, chair and maintain a fire and safety team in the warehouse.

Maintain confidentiality or proprietary information for the company .

Report all unethical behavior in the warehouse to the company top management.

●Supervised twenty-five (25) armed men made up of Soldiers, State Security Service and Civil Defense and their budget requirements.

●Supervision of contract security operatives from the host community.

●Develop and coordinate the implementation of project security plan.

●Monitor and control the safety and security of staff and assets of Gigagas.

●Collect and analyze all security information,carry out a thorough analysis of the security situation in the current and potential areas of intervention and provide periodic update to management.

●Recommended the application of local content in the award of security contract to the host communities that was approved and performed effectively.

●Recommended and implemented the installation of CCTV for technological security coverage at site.

●Deployed 28-armed security JTF/NSCDC at the various project’s sites.

●Successfully conducted regular patrols in all flash points to reduce vandalism.

●Deployed Sea watchers to monitor crude lines.

●Conducted security workshop with key stakeholders to update security strategies for each project.

●Investigated security breaches/incidents and reported same to the Area Security Advisor (ASA).

●Provided security advice to the project team at site using resources to ensure best practice.

●Attended relevant security coordination meetings and updated the Area Security Advisor.

●Interfaced between the Joint Military Task Force (JTF) and the SPDC project and asset team.

Senior Security Supervisor MTN Nigerian Communication, Warri.

●Monitored the security situations in 700 Base Transmission Stations under my command within Warri and Edo State.

●Reduced theft of generators, AVRs and Diesel to <50% from MTN base transmission stations (BTS) within Warri and Edo State between 2002 -2011.

●Uncovered a fraud of 1.5-million-naira recharge from MTN inventory through the discrepancies from the security yellow copy and other copies produced on a transaction against one Suleiman Bashir on the 28th September 2003 at MTN B2B Warri.

●Earned award for exceptional performance leading to the recovery of an MTN Hilux vehicle with REGISTRATION NUMBER XM 598 LND in Warri and the award was presented by the Regional security manager Port Harcourt on behalf of the MTN management on the 7th of October, 2005.

●Performed supervision of fifteen (15) armed Policemen attached to my Area of Responsibility AOR.

●Tracked quality assurance by monitoring the 2 Security Guarding companies (Alasco, Halogen and Diamond security respectively) and ensured they post the complete Guards contracted by the Company.

●Developed awareness materials to educate employees within the region about current security issues and steps required to reduce or eliminate the risks posed to company assets, and maintained partnership with the law enforcement community.

●Prepared duty roster for patrol, control room supervisors and drivers.
