SUMMARY

Responsible for planning and organizing the instruction for nurse students and new grads

nurses in ways to maximize students learning. Exercise appropirate instructional methods to

meet diverse student’s needs. Responsible for the developments of communication skills on a

professional through appropriate levels.

CORE SKILLS

License Vocational Nurse instructor supervising students in theory and clinical environment

utilizing an approved curriculum and visual aids.

Direct patient care in acute care setting standardized by health care system.

Communication with Physicians and other ancillary patient related care team. Utilizing

resources for patient/family related to current hospitalization and health history for better

outcome in both acute and long-term care settings. Pre and Post-operative teaching and

follow up with open heart patient: (CABG, MVR, AVR, TAVR, and VAT). Chest tube care, JP

care, pain management, PO, IV, PCA. Monitor and care of CHF, MI, DM, post Angiogram PCI,

cardiac stent, Pacemaker, ablation, Cardioversion and bedside, basic, advanced arrhythmias

EKD Interpretation and Continues Cardiac monitoring. Epidural care, Foley catheter care.

Monitor and Administration of drips such as Amiodarone, diltiazem, Lasix, dobutamine, blood

and blood products Transfusion, IV fluids.

Computer applications using Cerner and Paragon.
