Thomasville Dialysis Center - Thomasville, NC October 2022 - Present Before patients arrive, the crash cart is checked to ensure that all equipment is working properly . Patient specific, heparin is drawn up and labeled to be passed out to the separate bays for the tech’s . Assess the Pt’s as they arrive. Ensure that their AVF site is assessed before Tx starts or catheter site has no s/s of infection and is in its proper place before Tx. Going over the machines with the techs to ensure the right dialyzer is in use and the correct amount of fluid will be removed for the patients Tx. Monitor them throughout their Tx along side tech staff. Administer medication, Hep B Booster vaccines,Flu and PNE vaccines as needed. An assessment is done at the end of Treatment also.
