Relevant Experience

I performed my internship at Crozer Chester Medical Center. I completed over three hundred hours in the operating room including over one hundred surgeries including: General Surgery, OB/GYN, Neuro Surgery, Orthopedic, Plastics, Trauma, and Cardiac Surgery. I also have worked in the operating room as a surgical technologist for St Peter's Hospital in Albany, NY. I have been there since June of 2011. Within that job I got exposure to all types of surgeries

EXPERIENCE

11/2022- Present: Surgical Technologist at St. Francis Hospital. My duties include picking case carts for the cases. I also am in charge of setting up my room for the day. Setting up my table and taking down my table after case is over. I also hand instruments to the doctors during the cases. I help assist all members of the surgical team in anyway I can. I worked dayshift. I have done many different surgeries from a variety of different services.

11/2018-10/2022: Surgical Technologist at Christian Care. I worked overnights. My duties were setting up rooms for the next days cases. I would scrub emergency cases when they came in. I was responsible for setting up and cleaning up cases. I would assist Surgical Team in anything they needed. I was in charge of the sterile back table. I do a lot of different services.

04/2018-07/2018: Surgical Technologist at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Duties included Setting up and cleaning up Surgical cases. Assisting Surgical team during the procedures. Stocking cores and picking next days cases.

02/2016-01/2018: Surgical Technologist at Stone Springs Hospital Center in Dulles, Virginia. Duties included scrubbing in and assisting surgeons with surgeries. Picking cases for next day and putting supplies away. I also cleaned Endoscopic scopes for endo. I would unbox supplies from dock and bring them to Operating room to be put away. I have also taught fellow tech students while at this job.

10/2015-01/2016: Surgical Technologist at Haymarket Medical Center in Haymarket Virginia. Duties Included: I would assist surgeons by handing instruments during surgery. I would also set room up and clean up after cases. I was responsible for turning over rooms between cases. I also cleaned scopes for short procedures.

08/2014 to 10/2015: Surgical Technologist at Inova Alexandria Hospital in Alexandria Virginia. Duties Included: Setting up for surgical cases and cleaning up after case finished. I am in charge of assisting surgeon during surgery. I also would clean instruments and clean room. I do many services including General surgery, ENT, GYN, Urology, and Oral surgery.

06/2011 to 8/2014: Surgical Technologist at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany, NY

Duties Included: Setting up and taking down my surgical field. I also am in charge of handing up instruments to the surgical team that were needed for the surgery. Other duties of mine include retracting for the surgical team during cases, setting up local medications, and cleaning up equipment that were used in the surgical cases. When I am not participating in a surgery I help where needed. This can span from helping get supplies for a room which has a active surgery going on to setting up supplies in my room for the next day. I pride myself on being a team player.

01/2011 to 05/2011: Surgical Technologist at Eastern Cosmetic Surgery Center

Duties included: Setting up the OR room with appropriate materials for the surgery, assisting surgeon by handing instruments, holding instruments, and retracting for the surgeon. I also clean up the room and sterilize the instruments properly
