As an employee at South Coast Medical Center (1992) for 12+ years, my dedication has been recognized by many of my peers and management. I began my career at SCMC as a dishwasher with little experience in the restaurant business. Since then, I have established myself as a reputable employee within this organization.
My perseverance and “Can Do” attitude was noticed and I evolved in all areas of operations in the food service industry. My duties and responsibilities gradually increased to include: Nutritional Aide, Patient Care Services, Senior Cafeteria Worker, Store Room Coordinator, Banquet Captain, Administrative, and Spanish-English Translator.
However, my duties are not limited to food services. I was instrumental in establishing the POS System cash register at SCMC and began working part-time as a Technical Support Technician with the Information Systems Department.
That year 2004, I was acknowledged for my dedication and service. I was selected as Employee of the month and a contender for Employee of the Year. In addition, I just received the high honors of a second “Gold Heart” award. · Providing first-level user & technical support assisting approximately 700 employees with software/hardware problems, assessment and resolution.
