Mr. Wheeler began his career in Construction in 1979 as a helper for a sign company where he operated Safely a 110-foot crane and ladder truck for a Sign Company. He learned hands on the safe erection of lighted signs including foundation and Electricity. Over his career he has held many certifications, such as the 30-hour OSHA and Williams Gas line safety.

He has as a working knowledge of all phases of construction from underground utility construction to top out of high-rise buildings and has firsthand experience on many commercial and residential projects.

His experience includes safe operation of Cranes, Excavators, Backhoes, Bulldozers, Loaders, skid steers, and other various supporting equipment.

He has placed many foundations such as Drilled Caisson’s (Wet and dry), spread footers, and Piles for high rise construction.

Mr. Wheeler has held positions as a superintendent since 1995 and project manager since 1999 where he was lead on projects on several military installations and government projects. Has been the company representative for zoning meeting, acquiring permits, preconstruction bid walk downs, Inspections, Customer inspections and close out documents, Punch listing and punch listing document close outs. He has resourced and supervised local subcontractors and in house crews. He has a proven track record in completion of projects on time with successful close outs. Mr. Wheeler has good communication skills. Has passed background checks for necessary clearances and worked on multiple military bases and government installations. And Nasa projects.Successfully completed sites requiring new road construction DOT specifications for entrances in multiple states. Working on projects that had to follow Corp of Engineer standards and adhere to EPA requirements in erosion controls in crossing creeks and other swamp and drainage areas. Has worked with local municipalities, law enforcement, inspectors and utilities in multiple state locations.

Computer skills include daily use of Microsoft Word, Excel program, maintaining daily reports, pictures and construction and close out books. Has used scheduling programs to keep the sites on time, worked on site with wireless laptop with instant updates and pictures needed.

He has progressed in his career from crane helper to operator. Instrument man on a civil Engineering crew, Union Carpenter, Certified equipment operator, Foreman, superintendent, Field operations manager for 4 different companies in different lines of work including new construction and demolition, recovery and resales. Operations in progress including crane use and safety trench boxes and proper benching methods, along with cellular tower climbing methods. Has completed Williams and Dominion Gas Line Safety Seminars.
