I am a self-motivated friendly, happy individual seeking employment.

I have successfully completed the Phlebotomy course at Harcum College and have earned my certification from the Program. While attending clinicals at Penn Medicine I worked 100hrs and had over 200 successful “sticks”. I became extremely familiar with the location of veins and the usage of medical terminology. Given the training and the experience Penn Med has given me, I feel more than capable of fulfilling the job role as a Phlebotomist. I am a team player with the knowledge, skills and fortitude needed to carry out a variety of phlebotomy related tasks. When carrying out my responsibility, I am able to use compassion to calm the nerves of an anxious patient, I have experience with young infants as well as the elderly I have experience with Butterfly needles and straight as well. Organized or cleaned blood drawing trays, ensuring all instruments are sterile and all needles, syringes, or related items are of first-time-use. Conducted standard tests such as blood alcohol, blood cultures, oral glucose tolerance, glucose screening, blood smears, or peak and trough drug levels tests. Maintained quality control and data on equipment and other supplies used in the lab. Maintained adequate inventory of lab and clinical supplies and requisitions.

I am in charge of sterilizing all instruments before/after surgery. I prepare surgery materials for the following day, clean-up post-surgery extractions etc. Assist surgeon with instruments during procedures.
