Aircraft Mechanic

Performed repairs on C-130 aircraft to include major structural disassembly/reassembly, sheet metal repairs involving pattern and template lay outs, cutting and fabrication of aircraft skins, formers, spars, ribs, heavy frames, longerons and bulkheads. Removed corrosion, laid sealant, removed and replaced major structural components, etc. Read and interpreted engineering and technical data and provided technical support to engineers and customers as needed. Assembled and installed various aircraft structural items such as controls and flying surfaces. Inspected and evaluated structural damage to sheet metal systems and structures in order to plan and layout repairs and modifications involving many different metals including stainless steel and alloys.
